A Belizean nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope, expanding opportunity, and building resilience for youth and families in high-risk communities.
God Ordained and Established (G.O.E.) was born from a deep commitment to the young people and families of Belize. We emerged from recognition that violence, poverty, and systemic inequality threaten the future of our communities. G.O.E. exists to break these cycles through evidence-based, trauma-informed, community-anchored programs that create real pathways to safety, stability, and opportunity. We believe every young person deserves a chance to thrive.
A Belize where every young person grows up safe, reaches their full potential, and contributes to vibrant, resilient communities free from violence and inequality.
To empower Belizean youth and strengthen families through evidence-driven, community-led programs that build resilience, expand opportunity, and transform lives.
G.O.E. operates on three core principles that guide everything we do:
We work directly within communities, with leaders and residents who know the challenges. Real change comes from within, rooted in local knowledge and relationships.
Every program is grounded in research and data. We measure what works, adapt what doesn't, and scale what creates real impact for youth and families.
We understand the deep impact of violence and adversity. All our work is designed with sensitivity to trauma, recognizing resilience, and building safety.
G.O.E. is guided by a Board of Directors and community advisory council composed of Belizean leaders from education, justice, health, and community sectors. We prioritize local voices, community wisdom, and accountability to the people we serve.
Our leadership model reflects our belief: real change happens when communities lead. We are accountable to Belize, to our young people, and to each other.
This is the philosophy at the heart of G.O.E.'s work. We believe in helping young people and families move from dependence on systems that don't serve them, toward independence and agency in their own lives, ultimately building toward interdependence—communities where people are strong together, supporting one another, creating collective resilience and shared power.
